Altha Jewel Alldredge, 69, went home to be with our Lord on Aug. 28, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 30, 1947, to Arthur and Annie Jewel Alldredge in Lawton, Oklahoma. Most of her career she spent at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown and Countryside Manor in Anderson, retiring from there with 20 years of service.
She is survived by her companion, Paul Hicks; children, Kim Padgett, Teresa Padgett, Jim (Carla) Padgett Jr. and Becki (Tony) Dickey, as well as their father, Jim Padgett Sr.; seven grandchildren, Amanda Key, Brittany Meyer, Allison Dickey, Braden Dickey, Jacson Padgett, Chase Padgett and Bailey Padgett; five great-grandchildren, Tristan, Zoey, Miley, Delyla and Miyana;
brothers, A.B. (Beth) Alldredge, Jimmie (Jeannie) Alldredge, Walter "Wickie" (Hilda) Alldredge and Bill (Mary) Alldredge; sister, Annie Belle Fox; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; three sisters; and a brother-in-law
Services celebrating Altha's life and legacy will take place at 1 p.m. Friday in Owens Funeral Home, Alexandria. Pastor Mark Freeman will officiate. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery near Yorktown. Family and friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. prior to the service on Friday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Independent Federal Credit Union, 3737 S. Scatterfield Road, Anderson, IN 46013 for the benefit of Kimberlie Padgett. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
