Andrew Steen, 74, passed away Oct. 24, 2017, at Community North Hospital after an extended illness.
Andrew was born May 15, 1943, in Money, Mississippi, to Stotmy and Louise Steen. He was a 1962 graduate of Anderson High School, General Motors retiree and a member of Bethesda Temple where he served as head deacon. Andrew enjoyed watching and playing sports and spending time with family and friends.
Andrew is survived by sons, Brian Steen, and Thomas (Helen) Carter III; daughters, Tammy (Luke) James and Tina ( Amos) James; sister, Anna Brooks; brothers, Stotmy (Mildred) Steen Jr., John Earl (Diane) Steen, and Sam (Paula) Steen; 11 grandchildren; stepchildren, Sherrita Davis and Ashonte Davis; special nieces, Verna Jean Kelley and Priscilla Jackson; special friend, Carlton Simmons; and a host other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Service will be noon Saturday at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 2124 Cedar St., Anderson, and burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service.
