Betty's Story

Betty Ann Addington, 81, of Anderson, passed away on April 11, 2017.
She was born on March 28, 1936, in Wise County, Va., to Carson Perry and Minnie Moore. Betty was a member of the Living Word Worship Center.
She worked at Marsh for 10 years and was a nurses' aide for several years. Betty loved gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Kevin Addington; siblings, Carol Moore (Ginger), Carolyn Sue Winfrey (J.T.), Wanda Ashba, Brenda Sutton (Howard), David Moore (Barb), and Mona Brown (Jack); and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy K. Addington; son, Ricky Kyle Addington; sister, Nancy Moore; brothers, Jimmy and Robert Moore; along with her parents.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Rawlins House in Pendleton, especially the: nurses, Mike, Shawn, and Courtney; and aides, Emily, Candy, Brandy, Brenda, and Alexandria; along with all of the nurses, aides, and chaplain with Great Lakes Hospice, for taking such great care of Betty.
