Betty Ann (Garner) Putnam, 72, resident of Middletown, passed away Dec. 30, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.
She was born in Indianapolis, on June 23, 1945, the daughter of Troy and Dorothy Smyth Gardner.
She was a graduate of Southport High School and was owner and operator of Precision Transmission in Muncie and Anderson for many years with her husband Tom.
She was actively involved in the Middletown Lions Club and Shenandoah Youth Football.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Tom and stepson; John Thomas.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Huff (Jeff) of Middletown; stepchildren, Steve Putnam of Chesterfield, Shareen Klasing (John) of Downers Grove, Illinois, Theresa Pritchard of Indianapolis and Michel Putnam (Kim) of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lou Green of Indianapolis and Sue Graber of Brooklyn, Michigan; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 S. Walnut St., Daleville, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
