Billy Dean Alexander


Billy Dean Alexander, 67, also known as "Filco," transitioned after an extended illness on Dec. 8, 2018.
He was born on Feb. 27, 1951, in Shoffner, Arkansas, to the late Booker T. and Dissie (Warner) Alexander. He grew up in Anderson Zion Baptist Church.
He was a graduate of Anderson High School and worked various jobs throughout his career.
Survivors include his daughter, Mushell Kelley; son, William Underwood; life partner, Vickey Anthony; grandchildren, Tyler (Justus) Kelley, Bloomington, Kamarius Underwood, Mahlaya, Mallory, Natalie, Krystal, Michell and Earl (IV) Lindsey. Also surviving are great-grandson, Shaolin Newsom Jr.; siblings, Edith Alexander, Indianapolis, Willie Alexander, McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Richard Alexander, Anderson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Alexander, Anderson.
Visitation will be on Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon with funeral immediately following at New Zion Fellowship Church, 304 W. 11th St., Anderson, with the Rev. Victor Richardson officiating.
Services are entrusted to Gholar & Gholar Funeral Services.
