Carlus Fionn Patterson
He was born on April 9, 1971, to Dennis Patterson and Essie Wheeler. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Power House Church of God in Christ.
He was loving, funny, number one debater, with a big heart and a human "beat box." In his teen years he was part of the rap group "Def Duo" with Kevin Newsom. Carlus had many nicknames: Peeky, Pinky and Blink. Anytime "Peeky" was in the room there would definitely be a lot of laughing and joking going on because he was the life of the party and was loved by everyone that surrounded him.
Carlus graduated from Anderson High School in 1989, attended Ivy Tech College and worked at Delco Remy and other manufacturing plants.
He loved fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. He was always right and determined to get the last word. (Right or wrong!!)
He is survived by his parents, Dennis (Lena) Patterson of Meridan, Mississippi, Essie Wheeler-Woods and John Redfield of Anderson; life partner, Lisa White; children, De'Andre Ledsinger, Kyle Chambers, Kyla Chambers, Braon White, Brennon White and Scott Nelson Jr.; grandchild, Dylan "DJ" Carter; siblings, Tyresse Guy of Anderson, Cory Evans of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Kevin (Hope) Patterson of Meridian, Mississippi, Candis Patterson of Meridian, Mississippi, Paris (Tyrone) Harper of Omaha, Nebraska, Reginald Redfield, Tamara Redfield, Raymon Coleman, Anderson and Armita Redfield of Southfield, Michigan; grandparents, Bennie Mae Patterson and Ruby Redfield of Anderson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Danyelle Ledsinger; siblings, Dennis and Denise Patterson; grandparents, Joe Patterson, R&B and Maude Wheeler, Jake (Steve) Redfield, Eulie and Maggie Jones, R.B. and Jesse Mae Wheeler Sr.
Service will be held noon Monday at Anderson Zion Baptist Church, 2008 Rev. J.T. Menifee St., and burial in Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon prior to service.
