Charles E. Durbin, 88, of Anderson, passed away Nov. 21, 2017, at Providence Nursing Home in Anderson. He was born on March 9, 1929, in Anderson and resided most of his life in Anderson.
He was a U.S. Marines veteran who served during the Korean War.
He retired as a service manager for the Buick dealership in Chesterton.
He was a member of First Horizons United Methodist Church in Anderson and Anderson Elks 209.
Charles is survived by his sister, Donna Joan (Dave) Rains of Anderson; grandson, Eric L. McCarty; and great-grandson, Derek McCarty.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise R. Durbin; son, Phillip McCarty; mother, Mary Etta Durbin; and father, Jasper N. Durbin.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Toby Smith officiating; military graveside rites will be conducted by the U.S. Marines and Daleville American Legion.
Burial will take place in Elwood City Cemetery, Elwood.
