Charles David McKay, 73, Anderson, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018.
He was born Jan. 21, 1945, in Indianapolis, to the late Raymond F. and Ruth (Simpson) McKay.
Charles worked in retail for over 50 years before retiring. He was a member of the Huntsville Good Shepherd Church. He loved boating and was an avid skier. He also loved traveling in his RV, meeting new people, and woodworking, but above all loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rebecca Ann (Newcomb) McKay; children, Deborah (husband, Mark) Harris, Lorrie (husband, Patrick) Ruble, and Craig (wife, Julie) McKay; sister, Jenny (husband, Floyd) McClane; grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Jack, Phillip, Ian, Marley, Ashlee and Charlee. He was blessed with wonderful sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Special friends that have touched his heart were Jo Yattaw, Jeff and Kristi Humble and Darrel and Helga Cunningham.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William McKay.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel.
