Charles's Story

Charles Nicholas "Nick" Starr, 79, Alexandria, passed away Feb. 17, 2017 at his residence. He was born on February 2, 1938 in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of his life in Alexandria.
He retired from Delco Remy after 33 years of service.
He was happy that he lived long enough to see the Cubs win the World Series. He also enjoyed auto mechanics and computers. He was a member of the Alexandria Elks, Eagles and the Frankton American Legion. He made a lot of donations to many organizations.
Charles is survived by his companion, Toni Campbell; children, Richard Starr, Randall Starr and Robin Howard; sister, Linda (Donnie) Wolfe; grandchildren, Lindsey Howard and Jeffrey Howard; five great-grandchildren with one on the way; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Starr and father, Charles H. Starr.
Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
