Chris Everman, 89, of Anderson, passed away March 3, 2018, at Community Hospital of Anderson. He was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Anderson, where he resided all of his life.
Chris graduated from Anderson High School in 1946.
He first worked for his father's Texaco Service Station in Anderson. He then was employed by Guide Lamp where he worked plant security and retired after 30 years of service in 1992.
He was a member of the I.O.O.F. and the Alexandria F.O.E. Chris liked to watch NASCAR, travel, play cards, especially horse and euchre, but most importantly he loved to spend time with his family.
Chris is survived by his loving children, Dan Everman and Susan Manis; stepchildren, Melva (Jim) Killion, Bobby (Sharon) Hon, John Hon, and Rebecca Jobe; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Everman; parents, Chris and Mary Everman; son, Jim Everman; and grandchildren, Caleb Manis and Jamie Killion.
The family would like to thank the staff at Primrose, Vermillion Place, Providence, St. Vincent Anderson and Community Hospital for all their help and support.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Johnson and Pastor Samuel T. Jackson officiating.
Innichement will take place in The Gardens at Willowcrest Park, Anderson, at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to donor's charity of choice.
