Coleman Wallace Turner passed away Feb. 18, 2018, at Providence Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Wallace was born in Detroit, Michigan, on Aug. 29, 1933, to Jordan Turner and Olivia Jenkins. He worked for Delco Remy, Cablevision, and the City of Anderson Park Department.
Wallace enjoyed his cars, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Wallace is survived by wife, Hattie Turner; son, Marquis (Young) Turner; daughters, Tonya Stamp and Dellareese Carter; brothers, Sylvester (Annie) Turner, Curtis Allen, Kohen Turner, Myron Turner, John Turner, Leon Turner, and Steven Turner; sisters, Diana (Mike) Martin and Debie Turner; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Nettie B. Turner; brothers, Micheal Turner and Jordan Turner III; and sisters, Geraldine Johnson and Brenda Turner.
Service will be at noon Monday at Allen Chapel AME Church, 1610 Sheridan St., and visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon prior to service.
