Daniel Ray Halsell Daniel Ray "Danny" "Dosh" Halsell, 66, of Anderson died February 14, 2019, after a brief illness.
He was born September 12, 1952, in Anderson, the son of William and Mildred (Shearer) Halsell.
Danny worked for the City of Anderson at the Sewer and Street Departments for 32 years.
Dosh was an avid fast-pitch softball player and loved coaching Little League baseball. He attended NASCAR races and loved his dog, Harley.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Tony) Hosier of Anderson; his special companion, Rogene Loepker of Anderson, four siblings, Linda (Carl) Greenlee of Anderson, Patty (Charles) Kirby of Anderson, David (Beth) Halsell of Pendleton and Charles Halsell of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death his parents; his brother, Donald; and his nephew, Heath.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.

Danny was an awesome man. I went to school with him. I haven't seen Danny for a long time. So sorry I can't attend his service because I am out of town. Prayers to his family! I have nothing but great memories of Danny. RIP
