Daniel Wayne Mohler, 64, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, Jan. 23, 2018, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Anderson on July 19, 1953, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Blotkamp) Mohler and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Anderson.
Daniel has been employed at Downlite for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood carving, gardening and taxidermy.
Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Jayne; two children, Mikka Lephart (Adam), Alexandria, and Daniel Mohler, Anderson; a stepson, Josh Hiatt, Union City; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Steven Richard Mohler (Carolyn), Mechanicsville, Virginia, and Christopher J. Mohler (Gilene), Tipton; sister, Michelle Bell (Mike), Columbus; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Richard Hardwick; his canine companion, Annabell; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. With a celebration of life from 2 to 4 p.m.
