Darrah G. Breece, 75, passed away peacefully March 2, 2018.
She was born May 29, 1942, to Earl Castor and Geneva (Lawson) Castor.
She lived her early years in Pendleton and held fond memories of growing up there and playing in the park with her sister, Shirley.
Darrah married Larry R. Breece of Anderson in 1957. They moved to Richland Township and raised their three children there.
She was a real country girl, growing her vegetable and flower gardens, harvesting and canning her produce in the fall. She enjoyed riding her horses and raising German Shepherd puppies.
Darrah was an accomplished AKC dog breeder for years, winning many awards for the variety of small breeds she had.
When the kids were grown, she and Larry would travel throughout the Southwest. She loved exploring the deserts of Arizona and the high country of Colorado, especially in the fall weather "when the Rockies are a blaze of color and the crowds are gone," as she would say.
Darrah lived a good life, and loved her husband and family. She will be dearly missed.
