Darrah Gail Huntzinger Skinner, 97, Kokomo, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, at The Legacy at Waterford Place in Kokomo.
She was born Sept. 28, 1921, in Lapel, the daughter of Willis J. and Celesta M. (Walters) Sylvester. On July 11, 1941, in Anderson, she married Gerald O. Huntzinger, who preceded her in death April 8, 1983. She then married Douglas L. Skinner in Anderson, on Dec. 28, 1990, who also preceded her in death Aug. 31, 2017.
Darrah graduated from Anderson High School. She was a member of Pendleton United Methodist Church, and Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene.
Darrah is survived by her children, Rand S. (Sandra) Huntzinger, and Deborah S. (James) Caddell; grandchildren, Amanda (Aaron) Hill, Erin (Chris) Turley, Jonathan (Shayla) Caddell, Sarah (Matt) Martin, Amy Huntzinger, and David Huntzinger; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Caddell, Quinton Turley, Iris Turley, Jacen Hill, Aiden Caddell, Mikaela Caddell, Jaina Hill, Owen Hill, Eli Martin, and Brennen Martin.
Darrah was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Jane Ann Huntzinger; and siblings, Audrey Gilbert, O'Celia Krugler, Elizabeth Sylvester, Lawrence Sylvester, and Robert Sylvester.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019, at First Church of the Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington St., Kokomo, with Dr. Garey Miller officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the church.
