David A. Cain ALEXANDRIA [mdash] David A. Cain, 65, of Alexandria and formerly of Anderson, died March 10, 2019.
He was born Nov. 16, 1953, in Elwood, the son of Bernard and Virginia (Underwood) Cain. David attended St. Joseph School and graduated in 1971 from Willkie High School in Elwood.
He was a lineman and substation tech for over 36 years for Anderson Light and Power Co., and retired in 2010. David had attended St. Joseph Church in Elwood and St. Mary's Church in Alexandria.
He enjoyed fishing, walking, camping, and visiting state parks. He was also a member of the Alexandria Eagles Lodge where he enjoyed fellowship and served as treasurer. David was a fan of the Colts and NASCAR. David was a good-natured person who was friendly to everyone he met.
David's family includes daughter, Stacy (Phil) Savage of Anderson; brother, Roger (Linda) Cain of Elwood; four grandchildren, Devon Smith, Erika Smith, Jessica Moore, and Austin Moore; brother-in-law, Tom Piemme of Peoria, Arizona; niece, Jennifer Carmack; nephew, Joshua Cain; and two great-nephews, Aidan and Lukas. David was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kristy Moore; sister, Judith Piemme; and grandson, Travis Moore.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Father Dan Duff officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral on Thursday.
