David E. Carrell

David E. Carrell, 56, was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 9, 1963, to William E. and Mary Alice (Masters) Carrell. He died June 10, 2019, at his home in Anderson after a courageous battle with cancer.
He moved to Anderson with his family in 1967. He graduated from Anderson High School and attended Vincennes and Ball State universities.
David was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. During his work life he designed cabinets, worked in computer graphics, and was a truck driver.
David lived most of his life on Shady Lane in Anderson. He treasured his neighborhood friends and still maintained contact with many of them. He loved to ride his Harley motorcycle, all auto racing sports and boating.
David is survived by his parents; brother, W. Curtis Carrell of Newark, California; two sons, Ronald B. (Brooke) Carrell, Joshua D. (Samantha) Carrell, all of Anderson; six grandchildren, Nathan, Brenden, Preston, Simon, Maddison, and Tobias Carrell, all of Anderson; numerous cousins and close friends who gave him love and support during his illness.
He was preceded in death his grandparents, Homer and Erna Carrell, and E.P. and Mary Masters.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the funeral home, with Pastor Gary McCaslin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, David's wishes were that you visit your dermatologist to check for Melanoma or give to a charity of the donor's choice.

I was so sorry to hear of Dave’s battle with cancer and untimely death. I have many fond memories of him! Prayers and hugs to his family and all who knew and loved him!!!

I went to school with Dave from elementary through high school. I am so sad to hear of his cancer and death. He was always a wonderful guy. Love and prayers for him and his family.
