David L. Hacker, 71, of Anderson, passed away Dec. 17, 2017, at his residence in Anderson.
He was born Oct. 28, 1946, in Anderson, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
David graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1965.
He was retired from Guide Lamp, Division of General Motors after 30 years of service.
He served his country in the United States Army. He loved racing cars at Sun Valley Speedway in Anderson, loved going to the Strawtown Auction, and the Hoosier Park casino, and loved his cats.
David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lucy (Kathy) Hacker of Anderson; children, Dawn (Dennis Gee) Schattner of Frankton, Darren (Stephanie) Hacker of Alexandria, and Denna (Todd) Roof of Anderson; sister, Barbara Sink of Anderson; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Chad Schattner; and several aunts and uncles.
Cremation was chosen and services have been entrusted to the Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.
