David "Bubba" Eugene McLemore, 64, passed peacefully on Oct. 3, 2017, at Kindred Hospital, Indianapolis, from a brief illness.
David was born April 7, 1953, in Gasden, Alabama, to Lula Bell Snow and M.C. McLemore. He was a 1971 graduate of Madison Heights High School, Anderson, and obtained a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Ball State University. David served in the United States Navy and was employed at General Motors and retired from Options Treatment.
David was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Zachariah Green; adopted parents, Emmit and Mary Simon; and his grandmother, Emma Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife, Anne McLemore; daughter, Joyce McLemore, Indianapolis; three sons, David E. McLemore Jr. and Travis McLemore, both of Anderson, and Shamon (Keisha) McLemore, Fishers; sister, Myrtle Burgess of Kansas City, Missouri; stepson, James E. Harris Jr.; three stepdaughters, Trena (James) Robinson, Felicia Harris, and Kozette Peak, all of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 25 stepgrandchildren; and mother-in-law, Minnie McClendon.
Service will be held at noon Friday at Church Upon the Rock, 303 E. 29th St., Anderson.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon prior to service.
