David's Story

David Kent Morgan, 63, of Anderson, died at home on Sept. 10, 2017.
He was born Dec. 14, 1953, in Anderson, the son of Richard Lee and Martha Sue (Tupman) Morgan.
He was a Madison County Sheriff deputy for 33 1/2 years. He was an avid supporter of Madison County 4-H. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his four children, Jennifer (Amos) Busbey, Scott (Jen) Morgan, Shelby (Alan McCurdy) Morgan and Cheyenne Morgan; six grandchildren, Derek, Chelsea, Dominic, Blake, Makenzi and Zoey; his mother, Martha Sue (Tupman) Morgan; sister, Kathy Morgan; and his girlfriend, Deborah Witcher.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee "Dick" Morgan; and his sister, Lee Ann Morgan.
Service will be held at noon on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at Bethany Christian Church. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Madison County 4-H Association.
