De Anna's Story
De Anna Faye Young, 78, Anderson, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born April 16, 1939, in Anderson, to Neil and Sadie Marie (Leasure).
De Anna was graduated from Anderson High School.
She retired from Star Financial where she was a vice-president, and helped her husband, Gary, in his chiropractic office.
She is survived by two daughters, Ranelle (husband, Randy) Duncan of Texas and Michelle Smith of Albion; five grandchildren, Dominic (wife, Kay) Foster, Malcolm Foster, Christopher Harting Jr., Josephine Harting, and De Anna (husband, Seth) Weldon; six great-grandchildren, Israel, Presley, Victor, Ray-lin, Lilly, and Olivia; and three sisters, Darlene Landon, Janie Thomas, and Jackie Brattain.
De Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Sadie (Leasure) McClintick Jaquess Eller and Neil McClintick; her adopted father, James Jaquess; stepfather, Bob Eller; first husband, Charles Smith; second husband, Gary Young; and brother, Jerry Jaquess.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
