Dixie's Story

Dixie Anne Heuermann, 75, of New Castle passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at Heritage House Rehabilitation Center. She was born Jan. 5, 1942, in Anderson to the late William and Mary (Farmer) Raymer.
Dixie owned and operated the Greenery Tree Florist in Noblesville and Anderson in the 1970s and 80s. She then worked as a florist in Chicago and then in Florida for 27 years. She also enjoyed oil painting and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Susan) Julian of Hagerstown, Bret (Jane) Julian of Owensboro, Ky.; six grandchildren, Ashley Shook of Hagerstown, Amanda Julian of New Castle, Andrea (Josh) Kelly of Florida, Robert Julian of Kansas, Hunter Anne Julian of Lexington, Ky., and Adam Julian of Owensboro, Ky.; four great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Madisyn, Maggie and Jace; brother, Mike (Ruth) Raymer of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Heuerman, and daughter, Jennifer Julian.
Private services and burial will be at the convenience of her family at Anderson Memorial Park in Anderson.
