Donald D. Kemp Sr.


Donald Dennis Kemp, Sr., 87, of Middletown, passed away July 3, 2019. He was born October 3, 1931, in North Vernon, Indiana, and resided most of life in Middletown.
Donald attended Vernon High School and served his country in the National Guard for seven years.
Donald retired February 1, 1987, as a die-caster from Delco Remy.
He was a member of the Pendleton Circuit Breaker's Club with the handle of "Bacon Maker."
Donald is survived by his children, Deborah Davis, Vicki King, Katy Burgess and Dennis Kemp: sisters, Barbara Boyd, Beulah Yeager, Melody Schiller and Rosie Kemp; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emma Kemp; daughter, Nancy L. Thornberry; and siblings, Anna Burkman, Mary Kemp, and Judy Kemp.
Visitation will be Monday, July 8, 2019, 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, Indiana.
Services will be Monday, July 8, 2019, 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Association.
