Douglas L. Skinner, 96, Kokomo, passed away Aug. 31, 2017, at Howard Community Hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Anderson, where he resided most of his life.
Douglas served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Delco Remy in 1980 after 40 years of service.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pendleton. He played golf and had spent the winters in Florida since 1984.
Douglas is survived by his loving spouse of 26 years, Darrah Gail Huntzinger Skinner; children, Roger (Penny) Skinner, Rand (Sandra) Huntzinger and Deborah (James) Caddell; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Eve Skinner; wife of 42 years, Marjorie Guy Skinner; first wife, Mildred Greer; and brother, Gordon Skinner.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
