Earl McCoy Venters, 75, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018.
McCoy was born Jan. 11, 1943, in Pippa Passes, Kentucky, the son of Orves E. and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Venters.
He retired from Ball Corp. where he was a systems analyst and computer programmer. He also worked at Indiana Glass as a computer programmer.
McCoy served in the United States National Guard.
He loved music, hummingbirds, babies and dogs. He loved spending time with family and neighbors chatting on his big front porch on a nice sunny day.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte (Mosier) Venters of Anderson, whom he married Feb. 11, 1966; children, Michelle (Dave) Fanning of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Gina (Mark) Henson of Anderson; grandchildren, Krista (Blake) Scarlavai, Michael Miller, Emily Fanning, Jacob Fanning, Elizabeth Henson, William Henson and Danielle Henson; great-grandson, McCoy Scarlavai; and aunt, Lula (Venters) Mullins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Florida Station Church of God with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss officiating.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
