Edward John Sauer Jr., 84, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at St. Vincent Heart Center.
He was born July 25, 1933, in Indianapolis.
Edward graduated from Tech High School and Butler University. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Edward worked as a pharmacist for Community Hospital for 23 years, owned Edgewood Pharmacy for 10 years and worked at CVS for 10 years. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church.
Edward is survived by his wife of 58 years, Myrna K. Sauer; children, Brett Edward Sauer, Todd Christopher (Karen) Sauer, Bart William (Cindy) Sauer, and Ronny Michelle (Michael) Byrns; grandchildren, Cody (Libby) Sauer, Kaysee (Travis) Ramsey, Kendall Sauer, Ross Sauer, Brooke Sauer, Caitlin Sauer, Kelsey Sauer, Emma Sauer, Brandon Byrns, Samuel Byrns; great-grandchildren, Izabella Ramsey, Bentley Ramsey, Ava Ramsey, Remington Sauer, Beckett Sauer; one niece; one nephew; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward John Sr. and Ona Irene Sauer;and nephew, Reed Conrad.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory.
Services will be Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Bob Bell officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Parkinson's Foundation.
