Eugene "Gene" Sutton

Eugene Gene Sutton Eugene "Gene" W Sutton of Anderson passed away on Dec. 27, 2018, at his home. He was born on March 31, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
He graduated from Anderson High School in 1947 and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Gene retired from Myers Autoworld after 35 years as an auto salesman and had worked at Mitchell Motors, Bill Saxon's Autos and Fairway Ford.
He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Ham Radio Clubs and photography clubs. He collected clocks, watches, cameras, loved going to flea markets and woodworking.
Gene is survived by his loving spouse of 66 years, Melva Sutton; sons, David (Sheri) Sutton and Gary Sutton; grandchildren, Ryan (Shelby) Sutton, Kyle (Haley) Sutton and Natalie (John) Marque; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Hazel and Leo Sutton, Christian Marque, Mackenzie Bayshore and Preston Walker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfield Scott and Carrie W. Sutton; grandson, Jerimie D. Sutton; and sister, Doris Louise Sutton.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Dennis Zirkle officiating.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 119 East 36th St., Anderson, IN 46013.

I worked with Gene in the 60's at Mitchell Motors downtown Anderson, when he was in the parts dept. Great person, and was very easy to work with especially during inventory. He will be missed.Sorry for your loss.
