Evelyn Delores Cooper, 78, of Anderson, passed away Oct. 19, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.
She was born Aug. 9, 1939, in Anderson.
She retired from General Motors.
She loved to play cards and games with her family whom she deeply loved. She was the glue that held the family together and was the family historian.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Freddy (Lori McIntire) Cooper, Terry (Melanie) Cooper, Tena (Jeffery) Niblett, Patty (James) Peters, Darrin and son, Aaron Cooper, and Dorothy (Randy) Gray; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; siblings, Floyd Stohler Jr., Lorena Short, Ed Stohler, Rosemary Britton, Ruthie Griffin, and Dorothy Schussler; and several special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Freddy J. Cooper; parents, Gertie Bell and Floyd Stohler; grandchildren, Donald Ray Kirby and Stephanie Gray; and siblings, Charles Stohler, Tommy Stohler.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Warrum officiating. Burial will take place in the Pleasant Walk Cemetery, Anderson.
