Frankie E. "Gene" Couch, 85, lifelong resident of Frankton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018. He was born on April 4, 1932, to the late Omery and Cora (Everhart) Couch.
On Dec. 5, 1953, he married the love of his life, the late Anna Mae(Trissel) Couch. Gene retired from Delco Remy in 1986 to take care of his wife until her passing in 2016.
He was a member of the Frankton American Legion and the Elks. Gene loved spending time with his family and friends.
Gene is survived by his daughters, Penny Gurganious of Palm Coast, Florida, and Pam (Dennis) Mason of Frankton; sons, Ben (Melissa) Couch of Chesterfield and Jim (Kelli) Couch of Spiceland; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Clendenen of Frankton; brother, Wayne Couch of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Mae Couch; granddaughter, Whitney Mason; brothers, Davie "Kyle," Chuck, Jim and Bill; sisters, Ruby Hill, Ruth Ferguson, Edna Hughes and Barbara Humbert.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton, with Russell Brashear officiating. Burial will follow in the K of P and IOOF Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home.
