George Loughman, 82, of Fortville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, in Greenfield.
He was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, to the late Leland and Florence (Pifier) Loughman.
George was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during Korea. He was a member of the Fortville American Legion Post 391 and the Fortville Christian Church. George was a carpenter and owned G & G Construction and worked with other construction related businesses.
George is survived by children, Brian (Debbie) Loughman of Huntsville, Greg (Deanna) Loughman of Pendleton, and Denae Alyne of Anderson; stepchildren, Steve Driscoll of Fortville, Penny (Lee) Niece of Anderson, Larry (Tammy) Driscoll of Anderson, Kevin Driscoll of Anderson and Kelly (Steve) Saad of New Jersey; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Richard) Hockman of DuBois, Pennsylvania; best friends, Virginia Graves and Butch Grimm.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet E. (Purtlebaugh)Loughman, in 2004.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.
Friends may call on Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
