George Loughman, 82, of Fortville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, in Greenfield. He was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, to the late Leland and Florence (Pifier) Loughman.
George was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in Korea. George was a carpenter and owned G & G Construction and worked with other construction related businesses.
George is survived by children, Brian (Debbie) Loughman, Greg (Deanna) Loughman and Denae Alyne; stepchildren, Steve Driscoll, Penny (Lee) Niece, Larry (Tammy) Driscoll, Kevin Driscoll and Kelly (Steve) Saad; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Richard) Hockman, of DuBois, Pennsylvania; best friends Virginia Graves and Butch Grimm.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet E. (Purtlebaugh) Loughman in 2004.
A celebration of George's life will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call on Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
