Harold Eugene Wolfe BRADENTON, Fla. [mdash] Harold E. "Gene" Wolfe, formerly of Anderson, passed away on Dec. 26, 2018, in Bradenton, Florida.
Gene was born Feb. 4, 1935, in Anderson, Indiana, to Charles and Maureen Wolfe. He graduated from Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana. He married Linda Coffin (née Granger) on Jan. 20, 1999, in Manatee County, Florida.
He graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He worked as an industrial engineer for General Motors for 40 years. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army after his college graduation.
He was an avid golfer and was involved as a member the Elks, the American Legion, and Moose lodges in Florida and Indiana.
Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Maureen Wolfe; his father, Charles "Red" Wolfe; his brother-in-law, Lewis Kugler; and his loving wife, Linda Wolfe.
Gene is survived by his children, Robert (wife, Julie) Kasson, Minnesota, Patrick, Hamilton, Alabama, Michael (wife, Julie), Charleston, Illinois, and Richard (wife, Melissa), Zionsville, Indiana; his sister, Charlene Kugler, Roanoke, Virginia; his grandchildren, Zachary, Anderson, Indiana, Breanna, Hamilton, Alabama, Mason, Anderson, Indiana, Hannah, Anderson, Indiana, Jonathan, Kasson, Minnesota, Blake, Charleston, Illinois, Timothy, Kasson, Minnesota, Baily, Charleston, Illinois, and Sunny, Zionsville, Indiana; and his great-granddaughter, Mylah, Hamilton, Alabama; his nieces, Mary Fox (husband, Bill), Roanoke, Virginia, and Jean Dabbs, Sanford, North Carolina; his stepchildren, Cheryl Hamilton (Scott Roberts), Lafayette, Indiana, and Brad Coffin (wife, Chrissy), Lafayette, Indiana; his step-grandchildren, Brycen Hamilton, Alexis Coffin, Brayden Hamilton, Hunter Coffin, Maryn Hamilton, and Maci Coffin from Lafayette, Indiana.
Gene is also survived by many close friends from the Village on the Greens community and Moose Lodge in Bradenton, Florida.
