Irving M. Glazer, 97, died March 20, 2017, in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Born Aug. 19, 1919, to George and Lillian (Lipschitz) Glazer in Anderson, Ind. He graduated Indiana University and married the love of his life, Evelyn (Pat) Oshrin in 1942. They had three children, Susan, Jay and Cindy.
He was an avid fisherman, adventurer and reader of history. Through his love of Judaism, he created the "Jewish Studies Program" at Indiana University. The last 48 years of his life he was a devoted grandfather and known to his grandchildren and greats as "Big Irv". As he said: "Remember we had one hellava good ride. Celebrate the wonderful life we had and don't feel sad".
Survived by Jay (Marsha) Glazer and Cindy Glazer; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
