Jack W. McDuffee, 87, Frankton, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Community Parkview Health & Living.
Jack was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Anderson, to Gentry and Orabelle (Lawrence) McDuffee.
On Aug. 1, 1953, he married the love of his life, Nancy (Brown) McDuffee and she passed away on Aug. 30, 2011.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1986 from Delco Remy after 30 years of service. Jack was a member of United Auto Workers Local 662 and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jack enjoyed gardening, tinkering with about anything and he recycled everything. Jack loved spending time with his family.
Jack is survived by son, Steve McDuffee of Frankton; grandchildren, Patrick, Nathaniel and Elizabeth McDuffee, Jacob Gardner and Braeden Leopke; great-grandchildren, Jade Wiley and Dax McDuffee; brothers, Ted, Richard, and Joe McDuffee, all of Anderson, and Jim McDuffee of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judy McDuffee.
Funeral service celebrating Jack's life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton. Burial will follow in Forrestville Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
