ANDERSON [mdash] James Robert "Bob" Dalton, 97, of Anderson, passed away on April 5, 2019, at Rawlins House in Pendleton.
He was born on December 31, 1921, in Mitchell, Indiana.
Bob retired as special tool maker for Delco Remy.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a First Class Boatswain's mate and was in two invasions in South France and Italy. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church.
James is survived by his sister, Eva Lou (Dalton) Perkins; nephew, Robert H. (Eunice) Dalton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nondas E. Dalton; parents, Lawrence A. Dalton and Bessie (Burton) Dalton Wine; siblings, Jack L. Dalton and Martha Jean Thurber.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Bob Bell officiating.
Burial will take place in the East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson followed by military rites.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Christian Church, 1920 N. 200 East, Anderson, 46012.
