James W. Mahoney PENDLETON [mdash] James W. Mahoney, 92, Pendleton, passed away on Jan. 3, 2019, at his residence.
He was born April 2, 1926, in Anderson, and resided most of his life in Pendleton.
James graduated from Fortville High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired from Fisher Body Division of General Motors, and was also a lifelong farmer.
Farming and his family were his life.
James is survived by his children, Mike (Sharla) Mahoney and Mary Rich; grandchildren, Brian (Heather) Rich, Rebecca Mahoney, Jimmy Mahoney, Jason (Lindsay) Mahoney, and Josh (Jessica) Mahoney; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Thomas B. Mahoney; mother, Pearl M. Mahoney; wife, Katheryn Louise Mahoney; son, Thomas Paul Mahoney; son-in-law, John Rich; daughter, Patricia A. Cole; stepson, Bobby Swartzmiller; and seven sisters.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.

It was a joy to see your Father out mowing his lawn at his age and doing so much! A sweet man when I met him and very proud of his mower and his children.
I'm so very sorry. I'm sure you will always miss him deeply.

What I'll remember most about Uncle Jimmy, was how his family came 1st with him, his wife and children and all his sister's.He had a great sense of humor, and loved to tell stories, and never met a stranger He will be missed greatly.

So many memories of Uncle Jimmy coming to Weirton and Sistersville to the farm . He was always so happy and fun to be around ! God has blessed me so much by giving me Uncle Jimmy to share in my life . Prayers for you and your family . With much love ~
