Janet L. Nugent, 60, Anderson passed away on Sept. 18, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1957, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Janet worked as a Revlon distributor for 10 years before becoming a homemaker. She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1976.
She was a member of the Ladies Shrine of Madison County and Indianapolis, the Eastern Star, and Jobs Daughters. She enjoyed cross stitching, baking, camping and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her husband, Mark Nugent of Anderson; son, Jason Nugent of Chicago; daughter, Heather (Juan) Vargas of Pendleton; mother, Phyllis Wilson of Anderson; brother Elmer "Gene" Wilson of Anderson; grandchildren, Connor, Dylan, and Annabelle Vargas, all of Pendleton; nephew, Drew Wilson; great-niece, Sophia; several nieces, nephews; cousins, and special cousin, Nancy Herald; mother-in-law, Judith Nugent; sister and brother in-law, Vicki and Jim Baker; brother and sister in-law, Mike and Marlene Nugent; aunts, Marguerite Burton and Nancy Ellis; uncles, Bill Winemiller, and Don Ellis; and her four-legged companion, Jellybean.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Wilson; and father-in-law, Larry Nugent.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
