Joshua Reed Whitesel, 28, of Anderson, passed away as a result of injuries sustained while a passenger in a motorcycle accident, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 3, 2017.
He was born March 4, 1989 in Anderson. He grew up in Frankton and most recently resided in Anderson.
Joshua graduated from Frankton High School in 2007, and attended Ivy Tech.
He worked as a work release correctional officer, and monitoring specialist for BI Monitoring. Josh had great forgiveness and compassion and always looked for the best in people.
He was raised attending Frankton United Methodist Church. He was an avid body builder. He enjoyed hanging out with his dearly loved family and friends, but most of all he always wanted to help people anyway that he could.
Joshua is survived by his parents, Reed and Carol Whitesel; siblings, Zachary (Amanda) Whitesel and Elijah (Sarah) Whitesel; nieces, Lucyana Whitesel, Emelia Whitesel and Juliette Whitesel; grandparents, Darrell and Mary Whitesel and Jim and Eugenia Bence; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Betty Bence whom he will be laid to rest beside.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson.
Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown, with Pastor Tim Helm officiating.
