Judith Kay Butler


Judith Kay (Griner) Butler, 76, of Anderson, passed away June 16, 2019, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville after an extended illness.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1942, in Anderson, where she resided most of her life.
Judy graduated from Anderson High School in 1960.
She worked for Burlington Motor Carriers in Daleville, and retired after several years of service.
She liked to read, paint, sew and quilt, and most importantly she loved to spend time with her family. Judy and her husband were also snow birds and spent the last 25 plus winters in Port Richey, Florida.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Logan Butler; daughters, Lora (Larry) Fowler of Pendleton, Lana (Bill) McDaniel of Anderson; grandchildren, Jessica Butler, Jerred Quartier, Chelsea Lightfoot, Dakota McDaniel; and Mitchell Fowler; and great-grandchildren, Kayden, Clayton, Payton, and Delilah. Also surviving are her siblings, Myra Griner, Debbie (Tom) Muey, and Ben (Ann) Griner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Kathern Griner; daughter, Lisa Kay Lightfoot; and sister, Diane Emmons.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2019, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
