Katherine 'Katie''s Story

Katie passed peacefully in Prescott, Arizona.
She was born Dec. 11, 1924, to Martha King Norton and Harold (Dugan) Stephen Norton in Anderson, Indiana. Her grandfather, William J. Norton was one of the owners of The Anderson Brewery.
Katie was a kind, vibrant person who brought joy to many people with her generosity, seemingly endless energy and abundant love. Her incredible ability to establish rapport with any type of personality made her a crackerjack retailer and her positive look on life influenced all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by brother, King Norton; husband, Joseph Kirkman Williams; and daughter, Martha Williams Barrett.
She is survived by children, Laura (Lolly) Skinner, Chino Valley, Arizona, Kirk Williams, Carbondale, Colorado, and Frank Williams, Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Jordan Williams, Carbondale, Colorado, Jennifer Reed, Spartanburg, South Carolina, Todd Barrett, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Tina Barrett Meade of Hingham, Massachusetts, Jeffrey Skinner of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Scott Skinner of Corvallis, Oregon; and and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 2310 N. 56th St., Phoenix, Arizona.
