Kay C. Mattingly, 76, of Noblesville, passed away on March 27, 2017, at Harbor Manor in Noblesville.
She was born on May 1, 1940, in Middletown, to Bennie J. Spell and Marcella Richardson.
Kay formerly worked as a cook at Sanders Glen in Westfield. She also enjoyed cooking for her friends and family and the company of her miniature dachshund "Henry." She also enjoyed watching mysteries and reading mystery novels.
Kay is survived by her children, Ronnie Waters of Noblesville, Timothy Scott Waters of Anderson, Suzanne (Michael) Gallant of Columbus, Ind., and Michelle Meyers of Lapel and her companion Dennis Kowalski; stepchildren, Nikki Oliver of Kentucky, Richard (Robin) Fulkrod of Anderson, and Robert (Beth) Fulkrod of Kentucky. Kay's brothers were Jerry Whitinger of New Castle, Glen (Becky) Spell of Colorado, and Joe Spell; sister, Tina (Bob) Provost.
Kay is also survived by seven grandchildren three great-grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie J. Spell and Marcella Richardson and Margaret Spell; her husband, Thomas Mattingly; her brother, Joe Spell; and sister, Paulene Whitinger.
Cremation will take place at Loose Funeral Home and Cremation in Anderson.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date.
