LaDonna Lou Kimmerling, 83, of Anderson/Port Orange, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 5, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 19, 1934, and resided mostly in Anderson before moving to Florida. LaDonna loved the warm weather, the beach, dolphins, and lighthouses - so Florida was her home later in life. LaDonna was loved by all who knew her. She loved the Lord and her family more than life itself, going above and beyond to help anyone who needed it. She was a mentor who gave great advice and poured into the lives of those around her. The world is a better place because she was here. Heaven has gained what we've lost. John 14:6
The family would like to thank Vitas Healthcare, Dr. Regina Asihene, Nurse Becky and staff for their care.
LaDonna is survived by daughters, Donna Kimmerling of Anderson and Twanna and Billy Joe Melton of Florida; son, Bryan and Judy Kimmerling of Pendleton; three grandchildren, Deborah and Jeff Brousseau of Florida, Amanda Kimmerling (Kevin DeWitt), and Keith and Gabrielle Kimmerling of Pendleton; several great-grandchildren, Isabella Brousseau, Brynlee Crim, Nathan DeWitt, and Hope, Hunter, Leeland, and Katelynn Kimmerling; and her beloved fur baby, Miss Kitty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Kimmerling; and an infant son, Clarence Allen.
A graveside service will be held in May at Memorial Park in Anderson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Lighthouse Association.
