Lonnie's Story

Text size

Lonnie was born October 7, 1953 and unexpectedly passed away on October 23, 2017. He was the most wonderful person I ever knew. He was the best husband, father and grandfather that has no equal. For those of us lucky to know him, he will be greatly missed. He never met a stranger and was filled with nothing but love for life and his friends and family. I truly do not have the words to express how much he loved and is loved.
He was born in Anderson, Indiana to Lawrence and Gladys Lawson where he lived for 27 years. He moved to Shreveport, LA to work at General Motors for over 34 years and retired as an expert automotive painter. After retirement, he resided in Jenks, OK.
He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 46 years, his daughter Michelle and son in law Stan Taylor and his son Michael and favorite daughter in law Amber. He left behind three granddaughters Heather Taylor, Charlotte and Katherine Lawson. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Lawrence, Larry, Evaline and Linda as well as many beloved nieces/nephews and cousins. Also left behind, his loving two schnauzers, Rusty and Emma. He is now with his little buddy Branson in heaven.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, etc, that you let your loved ones know how much you love them as tomorrow is never guaranteed. Funeral arrangements will be private. Please celebrate his life with all your amazing memories of him.
