Loretta May (Rousey) Hajny, 80, passed away in Indianapolis on Jan. 5, 2018. She was born on Dec. 10, 1937, to Frank and Edith Rousey in Vernon.
Loretta lived in Anderson all of her life. She was a homemaker and a caregiver to her grandchildren. Her joy was in cooking and taking care of her family. She was a faithful member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church.
Left to treasure Loretta's memory are her husband of 61 years, Frank Hajny; children, Kevin (Millie) Hajny, Karen Hajny and Mary (Greg) Cox; grandchildren, Tony Sunderhaus, Jessica Hajny, Meghan (Jacob) Grabowski and Andy Cox; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Bergan and Kyrie Bergan; siblings, Mary (Buddy) Demaree, Rosie Croddy, Carolyn Walke and Frank Rousey; and her loving church family.
Loretta was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Dean; father, Franklin Rousey; sister, Etta May Rousey; and brother, Albert Rousey.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 2000 N. Scatterfield Road.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at the church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor John Hackney will preside. Burial will immediately follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
