Louis Arthur Givens


ANDERSON [mdash] Louis Arthur Givens "Louie," 75, Anderson, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2019.
He was born in Sneedville, Tennessee, and lived in Anderson most of his life.
Louie was a veteran who served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by General Motors and retired with 35 years of experience.
He was the youngest of 12 siblings.
He was preceded in death by Mary Givens (mother); John Givens (father); and 10 siblings.
Louie is survived by son, Brent Givens; daughter-in-law, Jen McCarty Givens; grandson, Braden Givens; granddaughter, Jenna Givens of Chicago and Fishers; brother, Dallas Givens of Rockford, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Those who knew Louie know he would have rather given than received.
In lieu of funeral services and to honor Louie, we ask that all who wish to participate, make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) or American Stroke Association (www.strokeassociation.org).

We are so sorry for the passing of our brother, and your daddy, sorry you encounter so much pain the final days, I'm sure he is in a better place. God speed and the best to you and family.
