Louis's Story

Louis "Lou" Bernard Lacy, 81, of Anderson, passed away Sept. 3, 2017, at Community Northview Care Center. Anderson. He was born on April 3, 1936, in Cumberland County, Kentucky, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Louis "Lou" graduated from Daleville High School.
He retired in 1997 after 34 years of service from the City of Anderson where he worked as a police officer.
He was a member of FOP.
He enjoyed listening to old country and gospel music and worked with youth basketball, Babe Ruth Baseball, DARE Program and PAL Club. He fostered several troubled youths.
Louis "Lou" is survived by his two sons, Tim (Robert Pucci) Lacy of Anderson, and Sim (Amy) Lacy of Anderson; two daughters, Kim (Bill) Passmore of Anderson and Lori (Chuck) Moore of Sweetser; foster daughter, Merry Purvis of Pendleton; two sisters, Shirley Moore of Goshen and Phyllis Boerner of Anderson; granddaughter Dawn Young; granddaughter Christina Sarvis; granddaughter Ashley Lacy; granddaughter Tia Lacy; grandson Sean Passmore; grandson Shane Passmore; granddaughter Shaley Rankin; grandson Jordan Lacy; granddaughter Kyla Bagienski; granddaughter Kaydee Santos; granddaughter Sarah Moore; granddaughter Rachel Twigg; grandson Aaron Moore; grandson Caleb Moore; grandson Justin Edwards; granddaughter Courtney Halbig; great-granddaughter Savannah Phillips; great-granddaughter Destiny Passmore; great-grandson Carson Passmore; great-granddaughter Emmaline Lacy; great-grandson Blaise Lacy; great-granddaughter Zurie Lacy; great-granddaughter Isabel Santos; great-granddaughter Jakelyn Santos; great-granddaughter Lucy Halbig; great-granddaughter Leona Halbig; great-grandson Peter Moore; great-grandson Tripp Bagienski; great-granddaughter Amyla Bagienski; great-grandson Javion Lacy; great-granddaughter Jaionna Lacy; great-granddaughter Briana Morris; great-granddaughter Brittney Morris; great-granddaughter Jolie Smith; great-grandson, Kyle Stanley; three special friends, Linda Eldon, Pam McFadden, and Norma Pugsley.
He was preceded in death by wife Ketrenia (Minnick) Lacy; mother Antha Lacy; father Perry H. Lacy; son Jim K. Lacy; grandson Jacob Lacy.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Gary McCaslin officiating.
Burial will take place in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.
