Margaret's Story

Margaret L. Austin, 94, of Anderson, passed away Aug.t 1, 2017, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson. She was born on Aug. 12, 1922 in Lapel.
She retired in 1982 after 36 years of service from Delco Remy, where she worked in production.
She was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church and Delco Remy Travel Club.
Margaret is survived by her son, Tom F. (Julia) Austin of Pendleton; daughter, Jacqueline Nelson of Phoenix; five grandchildren, Lisa Hall, Abbe Bronnenberg, Angela Hudson, Amy Barr and Lee Ann Devine; and five great-grandchildren, Josh Hall, Tiffany Bronnenberg, Kelsey Hall, Alexis Barr and Colin Barr.
She was preceded in death by her father, Forrest Gwinn; mother, Sadie Gwinn; husband, Glen F. Austin; and sisters, Martha Armstrong and Lilly Laman.
Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Linda Norville officiating.
Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
