Marilyn J. Wittkamper, 87, of Anderson, died June 8, 2019, at Sugar Fork Crossing Assisted Living.
She was born July 9, 1931, in Liberty, the daughter of Lee and Vada (Pentecost) Himelick. She attended Willkie High School in Elwood. Marilyn married L. Dwight Wittkamper on March 27, 1949. She attended First Baptist Church in Alexandria for many years.
She was the co-owner of the "Sweet Shop" in Alexandria along with her daughter, Nadine. She was formerly active in the Lady Lions and ABWA. Marilyn enjoyed making ceramics, china painting, making Christmas stockings, and anything related to birds. She also enjoyed traveling in their motor home, visiting their lake cottage on Beaver Dam, and wintering in Florida. She especially enjoyed playing the organ at numerous nursing homes and Senior Center in Anderson. Marilyn always had a smile on her face and loved spending time with her family.
Marilyn's family includes children, Terry (Marilyn) Wittkamper of Fairmount and Myra (John) Arthur of Anderson; brother, Larry (Jackie) Himelick of Nashville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Nadine Wilhoite.
A graveside funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Sunset Memorial Park in Elwood with Rev. Phil Edwards officiating. Burial will follow the service. Memorials: Hemophilia of Indiana or National Hemophilia Foundation through the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.
