Markayle Tenáyeh-Laprice Miles was born on Nov. 14, 1993, in Anderson, to Mark and Shonda Miles.
She attended Anderson High School and graduated from Summerville High School in Summerville, South Carolina.
Markayle was an avid sportsman who played high school basketball, soccer, competitive cheerleading, AAU basketball and track and field.
She joined the military where she served until she was medically discharged in 2015. She had a giving heart and would never see anyone do without. She also often went without to give to those in need. Markayle was a devoted friend, sister, daughter and family member. Her love and compassion knew no boundaries.
She is survived by her father, Mark Miles (Anderson); mother, Shonda Miles; twin sister Markeyle Miles; brothers Kevise Wallace (Brooke) and Corey Burks, all of South Carolina; brother Manuel Miles (Michigan City); maternal grandmother Ethel Rollins (South Carolina); paternal grandmother Carolyn Clay (Anderson); special aunt Johnnell Young; several uncles, aunts, two nieces, a nephew and a plethora of special family and friends.
Markayle was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Rudolph Rollins II and paternal grandfather Arthur Miles.
Services will be held at Second Missionary Baptist Church at noon Saturday. The calling will be two hours prior from 10 a.m. to noon.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gholar and Gholar Funeral Services.
