Martha Jeannette (Poor) Fox, 84, Anderson, died Sept. 29, 2017, at her son's residence after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Anderson on Sept. 22, 1933, the daughter of Carl K. and Bertha V. (Saunders) Poor, graduated in 1951 from Anderson High School and was a switchboard administrator for The Herald Bulletin for 27 years before retiring in 2003.
She is survived by her three children, Terry J. (Joe) Riley, Rod J. (Barbara) Fox, and Carl J. (Lynda) Fox; her sister, Shirley J. Hatt, all of Anderson; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; best friend, Cheryl Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Christy Lindley and Anna Jeanette Poor.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert M. "Bob" Fox; brothers, Carl K. and James S. Poor; sisters, Betty J. (Gibbons) Baker and Patty J. Denny; and a granddaughter, Melissa J. Fox.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Chaplain Margie Vandergraff officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at the funeral home.
